Goodyear pays dividend

JAKARTA (JP): Shareholders of publicly listed PT Goodyear Indonesia approved on Monday a management proposal to pay a total dividend of Rp 500 (about 6 U.S. cents) per share for the 1998 financial year.

Public relations officer Wartono B. Soeparno said the dividend would be paid to the shareholders this month.

He said the dividend of Rp 125 per share as reported by this newspaper on Tuesday was for the 1997 not 1998 financial year.

The company's net profit rose more than nine-fold to Rp 50.3 billion in the 1998 financial year. (udi)
