'GO' wins SEA Games photo contest

JAKARTA (JP): Sudewa from GO tabloid, with his photo Memang
Indah (It's Beautiful), was yesterday declared the winner of the
19th SEA Games photo competition, which was sponsored by Konica,
and won the Rp 1.5 million (US$458) first prize.

Johny T. Gunadi from Kompas daily won the second prize of Rp 1
million with his photo Usaha Keras (Hard work) while Sunyoto from
the Suara Pembaruan evening daily won the third prize of Rp
750,000 with his photo Histeris (Hysterical).

Luther Ulag from Suara Pembaruan finished fourth with Ditarik
tertawa (Pulled up but laughing), Dewanto Nusantoro from Surabaya
Post finished fifth with Mana Kepalamu (Where's your head) and
Eddy Hasbi from Kompas finished sixth with Gol (Goal).

Seventy-one photos from 12 newspapers and tabloids were
entered in the contest. (yan)
