JAKARTA (JP): PT General Motors Indonesia (GM Indonesia), the maker of Opel vehicles, announced the opening of PT Vinsa Indo Sejahtera, a new Opel dealer in Pekanbaru, Riau.

GM Indonesia president William S. Botwick said on Tuesday the opening of a new dealer reflected Opel's commitment to expand and strengthen its dealership network, while other vehicle- manufacturers had closed their operations and showrooms due to the impact of the country's economic crisis.
