GlobalNusa starts operation

JAKARTA (JP): PT GlobalNusa Caraka Ekakarma has started
providing store and forward telex and facsimile services in the
country.

The company, a subsidiary of PT Multi Eka Karma group and the
Yayasan Kejuangan Panglima Sudirman Foundation, is targeting the
banking and finance sector, the shipping industry, and mining and
energy firms with its services.

The company provides the services -- which were launched here
Thursday -- in cooperation with British telecommunication giant
GN Comtext Ltd, which has been operating as an international
store and forward telex and facsimile services provider since
1976.

The company said the advantages of using its services included
a reduced cost, higher efficiency and security. (gis)
