Global Teleshop goes online

JAKARTA (JP): Mobile phone distributor PT Cipta Multi Usaha Perkasa (MUP) introduced on Wednesday its online shopping site at www.globalteleshop.com.

"The site is an extension of our retail shops, Global Teleshop," project manager for Global Teleshop Online Andreas Thamrin said at a media conference.

Customers can shop for mobile phones and accessories through the site and can pay through check/giro or by bank transfer, he said.

MUP general manager for sales and after sales service Handojo said the company would cooperate with Bank Internasional Indonesia (BII) and Citibank so credit cardholders from the two banks could charge purchases to their accounts.

"Hopefully the negotiations can be finalized before the end of the year," he said.

Teleshop guarantees three-day delivery or some form of compensation, Handojo said, although the form of compensation would have to be discussed.

MUP has 70 Teleshop outlets in 15 cities across Indonesia. (10)
