Girl killed, cut into pieces

KUPANG, East Nusa Tenggara: Police arrested a man here on
Friday following the discovery of a girl's body near Lasiana
Beach in Kupang regency.

DS was apprehended only eight hours after residents found the
body of Nur Indrayati near Lasiana Beach, located around six
kilometers from Kupang, the capital of East Nusa Tenggara.

Nur's body had been cut to seven pieces, East Nusa Tenggara
Police chief Brig Gen. Jacky Uly told Antara.

He said DS told the police he had killed the girl after she
accusing him of raping her.

According to DS, he killed Nur at a public health center and
then placed her body in a gunny sack. He went to Lasiana at
around 2 a.m. on Friday and swam into the sea to dump her body in
the water. However, in the morning the tide washed it onto the
beach where it was found by local residents.
