Garuda resolves claim

After my letter was published, Garuda Air Freight management contacted me. These gentlemen were genuinely anxious to investigate the claims in my letter and consequently came out to meet me.

Two matters were raised: (1) the many extortion points along the way to freight retrieval and (2) freight warehouse rats. The first matter was resolved as it was explained the extortionists operating within the Airport Terminal are the "middlemen", (touts), and thus have no official Garuda mandate to collect levies.

Garuda staff also resolved the second issue by replacing goods that were damaged by warehouse rats. Garuda Air Freight's prompt response to my complaints demonstrates a serious commitment to customer care and professionalism. Therefore, I would like to thank Pak Waluyo and Pak Sutarno for their professional response to my claim.
