Gang of burglars busted in Bogor

BOGOR (JP): Six suspected longtime burglars who targeted upscale villas in the recreational area of Puncak, Bogor, have been arrested, police said on Thursday.

Bogor Regional Police chief Col. Edi Darnadi identified the men, aged from 20 to 39 years, as Udin bin H. Abdurrahman alias Abah Udin, Odang, Wawa, Niftah, Alen Gozali and Taha Suhanta. They were arrested in a raid early on Tuesday in Kampung Tarikolot in Cimande village here.

"They were vicious and in many cases, they severely injured the victims," Edi said.

The most recent burglary in which the gang is suspected occurred at a villa owned by Aep Saefulloh in Cimande village. Items stolen were a television and computer, cellular phone and a pair of eyeglasses. (21/edt)
