Game centers raided, dozens arrested

BOGOR: Bogor Police raided two gambling centers on Wednesday night, arresting dozens of gamblers and employees and seizing millions of rupiah.

Bogor Police chief detective First Insp. Fridon said the centers operated more than 100 slot machines, as well as other gaming machines, including pinball.

He said the raids were conducted to create a peaceful atmosphere for Muslims during Ramadhan and to encourage people to respect the holy month. --JP
