Funds earmarked to tackle malaria
BANDUNG: The West Java Health Office has earmarked Rp 1 billion (US$ 105,263) to help prevent and eradicate malaria.
Fatimah Resmiati, the head of the office, said on Wednesday that the funds would be used to establish malaria eradication posts and to purchase malaria tablets.
A malaria outbreak has hit several regencies in the province since last year, affecting hundreds of residents and killing seven. -- JP
