China ambassador to Indonesia Zhang Qiyue said Monday the under-discussion free trade agreement (FTA) between ASEAN and China would help both sides to obtain goods and services and attract investment.
"This FTA will bring many opportunities for both sides. FTA is not only about goods and commodities, but services and investment," Zhang said in his speech at the Finance Ministry during a loan agreement between Bank of China and state power firm PT PLN.
Four ministries -- the Finance Ministry, the Trade Ministry, the Industry Ministry and the Agriculture Ministry -- is now reviewing the FTA between ASEAN and China and expecting an outcome this month, Industry Minister MS Hidayat said last week.
