Frenchman nabbed with drugs
DENPASAR, Bali: The police here have detained 31-year-old Guy Sebastien, a French national, for the possession of a banned substance.
"We are still questioning the suspect to determine whether he is a dealer or just a user," Sr. Comr. Adhitya Wiratama, the chief of detectives with the Bali Police, said here on Tuesday.
The suspect was arrested in the possession of drugs in the Muding Indah Housing Compound in Kerobokan, some 15 kilometers east of Denpasar, on Monday.
The arrest was made by two police officers after receiving a tip from the suspect's neighbors, said Adhitya.
The officers found hashish and cocaine inside a wooden box in the house. The total amount of drugs found in the box was 21 grams of hashish and 0.5 grams of cocaine.
The suspect's permanent residence is listed as Nice, France. He claims to be a management consultant for several companies in Indonesia. --JP
