Free violin and piano concert
JAKARTA (JP): A violinist and pianist will give a free concert at Erasmus Huis, Jl. HR Rasuna Said, Kuningan, South Jakarta, at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow.
The violinist Zino Andrefa and Linny Sugianto, the pianist, will play classical pieces from Ludwijk van Beethoven and Cesar Franck.
Zino, born in Yogyakarta in 1964, started playing violin when he was only five years old. His father, Ramli Abdurrachman, named him after the famous Italian violinist Zino Fransescatti.
Ramli was then the director of the School of Music in Yogyakarta.
Zino started his career at 12 when he became the concertmaster at the Orkes Simfoni (Symphony Orchestra) of the School of Music. He then became concertmaster at the Jakarta Ensemble.
Linny Sugianto is a graduate of the Yayasan Pendidikan Musik (The Foundation of Music Education). She has performed solo and given performances with Iswargia Sudarno (piano) and Lim Kek Beng (cello). She has performed in Thailand with the Trisutji Kamal Ensemble. (sur)
