Free IDs for elderly people

South Jakarta Mayor H. Pardjoko handed out free citizenship
documents to 50 elderly people in connection with Independence
Day celebrations.

The 50 elderly people, who live in Kebayoran Baru, received
the IDs at a ceremony in the auditorium of the mayor's office
on Tuesday.

The head of the Mayoralty Population Office, Firdauz Asman,
said that the elderly people were chosen from 10 subdistricts in
Kebayoran Baru district.

So far, the mayoralty has distributed around 1,000 free IDs to
elderly people. Most of the recipients are war veterans and
retired officers of the Armed Forces. (03)
