Four unidentified bodies found

JAKARTA (JP): A newborn baby girl, a woman and two men were found dead in different places in the capital on Sunday, morgue staff at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital said.

Police, who rushed the bodies to the hospital, said none of the victims could be identified yet and local officers were still collecting evidence and information from the scenes.

The decomposing body of the baby girl was found by residents of Pondok Pinang in South Jakarta, wrapped in a piece of cloth, floating in a river next to the Women's Police School.

Morgue staff estimated that the baby was just one day old.

The body of the woman, in her 30s, was found lying with her hands tied together and wearing only underwear, by civilian security personal Muslimin from the Cengkareng Police subprecinct in West Jakarta.

She had two stab wounds on her right chest, a cut on her upper lips and bruising on her breasts, right leg and around her right eye.

One male body was found floating in the Cideng canal in Central Jakarta. The other was believed to have been the victim of a mass brawl in Pulogadung, East Jakarta. (06)
