Four taekwondoins set for Taipei

SEMARANG (JP): The Central Java chapter of the Indonesian
Taekwondo Association has approved four of five athletes to
compete in the Taekwondo Students World Championships in Chinese
Taipei, from March 29 to April 2.

The four are Yoga Perdana (men's flyweight division), Dery
Dermansyah (men's featherweight), Wiwies Widiowati (women's
finweight) and Yudika Sitanggang (women's bantamweight).

"Those fighters are being groomed here for the championships,
and also for the 15th National Games (PON) in Surabaya in June,"
said coach Singgih Endarto on Thursday.

After competing in Taipei, the four athletes will have an
overseas tryout in South Korea the following month. (har)
