Four suspected drug peddlers arrested

DENPASAR: Police in Badung precinct on Friday detained four youths for allegedly being involved in illegal drug distribution.

Badung Police detective chief Lt. Hussein Abubakar said the four are suspected of having supplied drugs to school children in the area for sometime.

"One of them, Donif, has been on our list for a long time," he told journalists at his office.

Three of the youths were in their early 20s while another is 15.

The four were detained when a patrol stopped a car with a Jakarta license plate. Failing to show proper licenses, police then checked the identity of the four inside.

From the back pocket of Donif's trousers, police found two packages of white powder which was believed to be heroin.(zen/bby)
