Four students join int'l math contest

JAKARTA: Four university students will take part in an
international mathematics competition in Skopje, Macedonia,
from July 23 through July 29, 2004.

The four students are Eder Kikianty, Tantan Sutandi Nugraha
and Handiid Agita Rustini from the Bandung Institute of
Technology (ITB) and Ryan Leonel Somali from Bina Nusantara
University, Jakarta.

Director of institutions and empowerment at the Ministry of
National Education Fuad Abdul Hamid said on Tuesday that the four
had been selected from 276 students from 43 universities in
Indonesia.

The delegation would be led by Puji Astuti from the ITB and
assisted by Siti Fatimah from the University of Persada
Indonesia, Ahmad Muchlis from the ITB, Toto Nusantara from Malang
State University, Widodo from Gadjah Mada University, Surjadi
Slamet from the University of Indonesia and Edi Saladin from ITB.
