Four students arrested

JAKARTA (JP): The police yesterday arrested four technical
high school students who allegedly killed another high school
student in a fight on Jl. Taman Puring in South Jakarta.

South Jakarta Police Chief Lt. Col. Sisno Adiwinoto said the
victim, Fuadi Suhaimi, a student of STM aviation technical high
school, was allegedly attacked by the four students of STM
Purnama technical high school on March 21.

He said one of the assailants, identified as Nurrahman,
slashed the back of Fuadi's head with a sword.

"A grudge was behind the fight," he added.

Fuadi, 15, had boarded a Metromini bus to go home when
students of the other technical high school attacked the bus.

Fuadi and a friend were in the back of the bus and fell out
when the driver sped up to avoid the attack.

The mob then kicked and beat Fuadi and his friend. One of the
students slashed the back of Fuadi's head with a sword.

Fuadi, a resident of Jl. Joglo, Kebun Jeruk district, West
Jakarta, was dead on arrival at the Pertamina hospital. His
friend was treated at the same hospital. (04)
