Four GAM donors arrested

BANDA ACEH, Aceh: The police in Banda Aceh have arrested four
Acehnese businessmen over donations they allegedly made to the
Free Aceh Movement (GAM).

"We have arrested four businessmen to undergo further police
investigation. The arrest is based on information from two
rebels who were recently arrested by security personnel in Aceh
Besar regency," Sr. Comr. Taufiq, spokesman for the security
restoration operation in Aceh, said here over the weekend.

Taufiq said the police would investigate where the businessmen
got the money from.

"They could be prosecuted for collaboration with GAM and
corruption," he said.

The businessmen said they had to give the money due to
