Four die in Boyolali bus crash

BOYOLALI, Central Java: Four were killed and 20 injured
on Tuesday when an intercity bus plying the Surakarta-Jakarta
route careened off the northern ring road of Mojosongo, Central
Java.

According to Boyolali Police chief Lt. Col. Didiek S.
Triwidodo, the fatalities, all passengers, were identified as
Suparmin, 25, Suwarno, 40, Sumijo, 40 and Sukijo, 36. The bus was
speeding, he said.

Police are still searching for the bus crew who fled the
scene. Six of the survivors were treated for severe injuries at
the Al Amien Islamic Hospital in Boyolali. (edt/har)
