Four busted in Las Ketchup concert

JAKARTA: Four pickpockets were caught red-handed by
concertgoers at the Las Ketchup concert at the Bung Karno sports
stadium in Central Jakarta on Wednesday night.

The first was caught attempting to steal the wallet of a
reporter standing in a crowd of journalists who were about to
enter the venue near the stage.

The other three were arrested after the show was over. The
angry crowd tried to mob them, but dozens of police quickly
dragged the thieves away.

About 4,500 people attended the concert, which also featured
local dangdut singer Inul Daratista.

Adri Subono from the show organizer, Java Musikindo, said that
pickpocketing could take place anywhere, regardless of the
presence of security officers at the location.

He apologized to concertgoers for the inconvenience. --JP
