Four arrested for drug possession

JAKARTA (JP): Police patrol officers arrested four people on Tuesday afternoon, including twin sisters, with several grams of heroin in their possession, on Jl. Blora in Central Jakarta.

A city police detective, who requested anonymity, identified the four suspects as 25-year-old twins Martha M. Lena Jafur and Maria Marti Lena Jafur -- both students at Trisakti University -- and Dimas Aryo Yudawan and Yusuf Fitri Yatno, both 23.

"First. Sgt. Solehan was patrolling the Blora area with a few other police officers when they saw a gray metallic 1997 Bimantara sedan with registration number B 2431 XO zigzagging along the street," the detective said.

"Solehan then ordered the car to stop. When he searched the car, the officers found the heroin in it."

The twins looked confused to be in police custody. (ylt)
