Forwarders deal signed
JAKARTA (JP): State-owned PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia agreed yesterday to provide insurance coverage to forwarding companies under the Indonesian Forwarders Association.
The insurance company signed an agreement yesterday to provide insurance coverage for a year for documents being forwarded by the association's members.
The association's president, Chris Kanter, said yesterday the new cooperation would support the forwarding industry in the country, which had become more sophisticated and demanded improved efficiency.
"The activities of the association's members are no longer segmented, we have become more diverse using various means of transportation," Chris said. (das)
