Forex reserves rise to $28.96b

JAKARTA (JP): Bank Indonesia's foreign currency reserves rose by US$300.90 million to $28.96 billion as of Nov. 23 from $28.662 billion in the previous week, according to the central bank's latest weekly report.

The central bank attributed the increase to revenues from oil and gas exports.

The central bank also said that base money or primary money supply fell to Rp 96.47 trillion from Rp 96.89 trillion in the previous week partly due a drop in the cash in circulation. (hen)
