Forex reserves fall to $27.45b
JAKARTA (JP): Bank Indonesia said on Monday that the country's foreign exchange reserves in the fourth week of August fell by US$175.80 million to $27.45 billion compared to the previous week.
The central bank said in a statement that the decline was mostly due to the repayment of foreign debt during the period.
It also reported that since Aug. 23 currency in circulation increased by Rp 3.46 trillion to Rp 94.41 trillion. (rei)
