Foreign monitors arrive in Maluku
AMBON, Maluku: At least two foreign poll observers arrived in the Maluku capital of Ambon on Tuesday, and they were ready to help monitor the election in the province.
The two, Martin Freire from the European Union and Bruno L'hoste from the Election Observation Mission, had reported their arrival to the Maluku General Election Commission (KPUD).
Jhon Ruhulessin, a member of Maluku KPUD, said that the two were the first batch of foreign poll observers to have reported their arrival in Maluku.
"We expect more foreign monitors in the province," he said at his office. -- JP
