Foreign investment

From time to time, we read press reports about the amount of foreign direct investment (FDI) approved by the Indonesian authorities. Indonesians may well ask themselves why FDI needs to be approved in a different way to that for domestic projects.

The most astonishing thing is to see that the Indonesian government is doing nothing to improve the economy through a radical change in its FDI policies.

We all wonder why the government keeps persisting with counterproductive policies on FDI, immigration, etc.

We would like to hear from Indonesian leaders and legislators on that important issue for the future of the country.
