Foreign doctors to attend congress

PADANG, West Sumatra: Approximately 1,500 internists from at
least 20 countries will attend a congress on internal medicine at
Andalas University here on June 23 to June 27, Antara reported
yesterday.

Organizer Dr. Suharman Leman of the Association of Indonesian
Internists said the participants will come from Australia, Asia
and European countries. Indonesian Minister of Health Sujudi will
open the congress.

The provincial administration is providing some of the funds
to hold the congress. (swe)
