Foreign crossers favored in Padang

JAKARTA (JP): Three foreign crossers, Belgian Jimmy Verburg
from the Yamaha team and Australians Jay Harvey and Aaron
Klanjscek from the Honda team, are favored to win the second leg
of the Gudang Garam Motocross Championship in the Lubuk Buaya
circuit in Padang, West Sumatra, today and tomorrow.

Championship director Helmy Sungkar said in Padang on Thursday
that even though many thought one of the three would win, they
would face tough competition from some Indonesian crossers.

The Indonesian crossers in question, Helmy said, are Satya
Sunarso and Irwan Ardiansyah of the Yamaha team and Jhony Pranata
and Edy Sumampauw of the Suzuki team. "I expect a very close
battle among them and the foreign crossers," Helmy said. (arf)
