Ford's mobile data bank

DETROIT: Ford in the U.S. is keeping tabs on driving habits of 350 Ford owners throughout the world.

According to Automotive News, the owners of the cars and trucks have been carrying a data collection module so the company can glean information on driver habits.

Ford plans to install another 250 modules over the next few months.

Ford plans to use the data to improve its durability tests and tailor specifications for specific markets.
