Ford opens second store

JAKARTA: PT Ford Motor Indonesia opened its second Superstore,
called the Ford Jakbar Superstore, on Jl. Jend. S. Parman, West
Jakarta, on Monday.

The opening followed the recent launch of Ford's first
dealership, the Ford Jaksel Superstore, on Jl. T.B. Simatupang,
South Jakarta, two months ago.

Along with the opening, Ford also launched the Ford Lynx, a
new sedan.

"We're confident that the Ford Lynx will receive the same kind
of positive response from the market that the Ford Ranger
enjoyed. The Ford Lynx is designed for young, savvy and stylish
professionals who the enjoy finer things in life and are looking
for a car that reflects their lifestyle," said Scott McCormack,
Ford Brand Director of PT Ford Motor Indonesia.

Ford has set a target of selling 600 Ford Lynx units following
the success of the Ranger 4x4 truck, which has so far sold 300 of
the targeted 700 units. -- JP
