THIRD GENERATION SERVICE: The nation's biggest cellular operator, Telkomsel provides a trial service for the third generation (3G) mobile network as part of its commitment to developing the cellular phone industry in Indonesia. The trial service was conducted on May 26 to coincide with the company's 10th anniversary. The trial service demonstrated the company's readiness to enter the new era of 3G service that will benefit the public, environment and industry. At the trial, Telkomsel demonstrated 3G-related services, such as video calls, video streaming and high-speed Internet browsing. Seen in the right photo (from left to right) are Telkomsel's president director Kiskenda Suriahardja, operation director Ng Kwon Kee, planning and development director Bambang Riyadhi Oemar, commercial director Yuen Kuan Moon and finance director Yusuf Kurnia. Meanwhile, Telkomsel also demonstrates its commitment to Good Corporate Citizenship (GCC) by contributing Rp 5 million in a fund to UNICEF for its polio eradication program. The program, with the theme: Telkomsel cares for the next generation, was conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
