THIRD GENERATION SERVICE: The nation's biggest cellular operator, Telkomsel provides a trial service for the third generation (3G) mobile network as part of its commitment to developing the cellular phone industry in Indonesia. The trial service was conducted on May 26 to coincide with the company's 10th anniversary. The trial service demonstrated the company's readiness to enter the new era of 3G service that will benefit the public, environment and industry. At the trial, Telkomsel demonstrated 3G-related services, such as video calls, video streaming and high-speed Internet browsing. Meanwhile, Telkomsel also demonstrates its commitment to Good Corporate Citizenship (GCC) by contributing Rp 5 million in a fund to UNICEF for its polio eradication program.
