Creating cinematic atmosphere through BenQ PE8700 projector
If you want to have a true cinematic experience with your home theater, then BenQ PE8700 - the latest model of home theater multimedia projector - must be the right choice.
Designed with home theater as its intended market, the PE8700 offers ultimate picture quality thanks to the Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology.
BenQ, Taiwan-based networking lifestyle device firm, released the PE8700 in September last year. The company upgraded the unit recently to provide more benefits to users. The model is now available in Indonesia, with Provision as the country's sole distributor of BenQ projectors.
Featuring the popular Mustang/HD2 DLP chip from Texas Instruments, the PE8700 is a native 16:9 wide-screen format projector with 1280x720 resolution. Its HD2 DLP chip has been upgraded to HD2+ DLP chip, allowing users to have higher contrast than the original version. The contrast spec has also been raised from 2000:1 to 2500:1 to provide clear, sharp and superb image.
Rainbow effects frequently appear on the TV or projector screen. Therefore, the PE8700 uses a 6-segment, 5x speed color wheel for its light engine, not only to avoid the rainbow effects but also to enhance color accuracy.
The model has a sharp and stable image thanks also to its Silicon Image Sl504 chipset and features Oplus Rembrandt-1 multimedia digital display processor chip.
Commonly, cinematic projector produces fan noise when operated but the PE8700 has proven to produce the least fan noise.
With the projector, users can connect to any component multimedia sources because it is equipped with connector panels that can accept inputs from the current and the future standard multimedia component sources. They include S-Video, PC, Digital Video Interface (DVI) and HDTV.
Another benefit is that with picture-in picture (PIP) and picture-on-picture (POP) available on the remote, users can select their desire source in an easy manner.
Compared to a wide-screen TV or plasma TV, the cinematic projector offers more values. In terms of size, for instance, the projector's screen size can reach 300inc, compared to between 43 and 61inc featured by a flat or plasma TV.
The DLP technology-based cinematic projector is suitable for large displays and can provide full picture in a wide-screen format.
As a result, the projector's wide-screen can create a cinematic atmosphere and so, viewers can be emotionally involved in the film.
Aside from the screen size, the projector is also superior in terms of image quality. Unlike in a TV, contrast and image color quality rate in the projector is spread to the entire screen and this can be retained even when the screen is subject to a lamp light reflection from a room.
No doubt, with ultimate picture quality, color accuracy, full connectivity and other advantages, BenQ PE8700 has become the most preferred and highly recommended home theater projector.
