Food poisoning hits car dealer employees

BEKASI: At least 22 employees of vehicle dealer PT Panca Motor in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi, were rushed to nearby Ananda Hospital in Kranji on Tuesday with suspected food poisoning.

Witnesses said that workers vomited and complained of dizziness after they ate breakfast together at the office, Detik.com reported.

No fatalities were reported in the incident, and doctors were still looking into the cause of the illness.

After being treated for several hours, the hospital allowed 16 patients to return home. The remaining six employees had to remain at the hospital for further treatment.

"Some of them are still under doctors' supervision," said a duty officer at the hospital. -- JP
