Floor mats recycled

TOKYO: Mazda is doing its bit for the environment.

In Japan, it now offers floor mats made from recycled plastic bottles for its 121 Metro range.

Each of the Metro's five floor mats is made from the regenerated fiber of about 20 1.5-liter plastic bottles.

Mazda claims the quality of the mats is equal to that of standard floor mats made from polyester fiber.
