Flooding halts travel in Wanasari

PALU, Central Sulawesi: Flooding over the past few days in Wanasari subdistrict, Tojounauna regency, has damaged five bridges, public facilities such as schools, the subdistrict hall and many houses.

The damage to the bridges has effectively cut travel between hamlets in Wanasari, as well as inter-subdistrict travel.

Central Sulawesi Settlement and Regional Infrastructure Office head Mashud Kasim said the office would repair the bridges immediately to restore travel in the subdistrict. -- JP
