Flight sevices may be moved to Halim

Regarding the article in The Jakarta Post on Friday Dec. 31,
1999, titled Flight services may be moved to Halim, we would like
to clarify a few facts in relation to Cathay Pacific's flight on
Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999. Our flight CX776 departed at 4:05 p.m,
with 15 minutes delay and arrived in Hong Kong at 9:21 p.m, only
five minutes behind schedule.

An on time performance would have been no problem on that date
but we would have left over 70 passengers stranded at the
airport. It was our customer service decision to slightly delay
the departure of our flight that day in order to accept
passengers delayed by toll road closure.

We knew that our flight would be able to make up time en route
to Hong Kong so that passengers would experience minimal delay
and no real inconvenience.

If you need further information on our flight schedule you
could reach us at 5151747. We advise all passengers to allow
extra time for their journey to the airport and are pleased to
advise that our flights are generally leaving on time.
