First woman heads police subprecinct

JAKARTA (JP): A police woman has been installed as chief of the Cilandak police precinct, South Jakarta.

City Police spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang said yesterday that Capt. Nurhayati was the first policewoman to head a police subprecinct.

Aritonang said South Jakarta police precinct chief Lt. Col. Sisno Adiwinoto installed Nurhayati on Saturday to replace Maj. Hapsoro Wahyu Priyanto.

Nurhayati, 38, was previously the deputy chief at the Pancoran subprecinct, also in South Jakarta. (cst)
