Firm debuts feedmeals

BOGOR, WEST JAVA (JP): Feedmeal producer PT Multigerm
Indonesia introduced yesterday two supplementary feedmeal
products onto the domestic market.

The company's general manager, Sutiono Surja, said they would
boost poultry meat production by 23 percent and reduce the
mortality rate by over 50 percent.

"The new products will also constrain the growth of unhealthy
bacteria, neutralize toxins, reduce stress and boost poultry and
livestock appetite," Sutiono said.

The products, Lactosym in liquid form, and Gentiderm in grain
composition, have been fed to ostriches reared by Multigerm
affiliate PT Royal Ostrindo.

Sutiono said his company's production capacity currently
reached 104 tons per month, about 60 percent of which was
supplied to PT Royal Ostrindo.

The company plans to increase its production capacity to 200
tons per month next year. (gis)
