Fine photo shows held in Jakarta
Local photography lovers will have a special opportunity to observe fine photos at two exhibitions to be held this week in the capital.
The first exhibition, called Kota Jakarta, is jointly organized by the French Cultural Center and the Jakarta Art Institute. The exhibition will be held at the Institute's gallery on Jl. Cikini Raya 73, Central Jakarta from July 29 through Aug. 3.
The exhibition will display photos by Institute students, who also plan to exhibit their works in other cities in Indonesia and in several European cities.
The second photo exhibition, called Perfect Worlds, by German photographer Dorte Eisfeldt will be held at the Galeri Foto Jurnalistik Antara from July 26 through Aug. 2. Eisfeldt's collection was previously displayed at Jakarta's Goethe Institute.
The exhibition will be highlighted by a discussion led by Yudhi Soerjoeatmodjo on Saturday, at Graha Bhakti Antara, Pasar Baru, Central Jakarta. (raw)
