Filipino deported for overstay

JAKARTA (JP): The Tangerang Immigration office is to deport a Philippine national for overstaying his visa permit and for having a false local identity card.

An immigration official said the foreigner, identified as Paquito Bukid Burgos, was arrested on November 6 at the latter's working place on Jl. Raya Serang in Tangerang.

"We've been tracking Paquito as he kept moving from one company to another," Mohammad Indra, the Tangerang immigration chief for law and legislation, said in a statement on Friday.

"He'll be soon deported as the process is underway and the document is being prepared by the Philippine Embassy," Indra said.

In November, the Tangerang immigration office deported seven foreigners, mostly for overstaying their visas. (edt)
