FedEx responds

In response to Mr. Poriaman Sitanggang recent experience with FedEx services published in this column (Oct. 12, 1996), we would like to explain that like any other international business we use the U.S. dollar as a standard pricing policy, and just like the common business norm and practice here, this value is converted into local currency.

FedEx, especially in Indonesia, never advertises a 24-hours-a- day service, even though our activities operate 24 hours a day, including Sundays and holidays, due to the nature of our inbound business.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that you have experienced. We are constantly reviewing our services in an attempt to suit customer needs as well as the ever-changing business climate. Hence your input has been very helpful.
