FedEx official sponsor of French Open

JAKARTA: FedEx Express, a subsidiary of the FedEx Corporation, will be an official sponsor of the French Tennis Open, which will begin next week, a release said here on Wednesday.

A five-year agreement with the French Tennis Federation entitles FedEx Express, the world's largest express transportation company, to a number of core sponsorship rights beginning with this year's French Open tournament at Roland Garros.

"This strategic sponsorship enables us to leverage our extensive investments and long-standing commitments in France," said David L. Cunningham Jr., president of FedEx Asia Pacific.

The release did not disclose the monetary terms of the contract. -- JP
