Fans leave Robbi uneasy
Coping with the pressure of competing in the SEA Games is child's play for some athletes compared to handling the demands of the army of adoring fans.
Indonesian male volleyballer Robbi Mekala is a case in point.
After playing in yesterday's demolition of Malaysia, Robbi's relaxation was rudely interrupted by a gaggle of teenage girls, anxious to be photographed with him and to have his autograph.
Robbi reluctantly agreed but retreated as quickly as possible. "Sometimes they are very aggressive and make me feel uncomfortable," he said from the safety of the changing room. (ste)
