Families resettled in South Sulawesi

UJUNGPANDANG, South Sulawesi: The local government is busy resettling 315 people, from densely populated Central and East Java, in Sidrap regency.

The resettlers arrived at the Bepao transmigration site on Monday, Antara reported.

Sidrap Regent A. Salipolo Palalloi said the local government had made 430 hectares of agricultural land available for the transmigrants.

Over 100 farm families, who arrived earlier, have each received two hectares of land. (pan)
