Families make visit to Bali bombers
BALIKPAPAN, East Kalimantan: Prison authorities allowed on Tuesday the families of six men convicted of roles in the Bali bombing to visit them in jail.
The families were allowed to meet with the convicts after the men spent the first few weeks in special quarantine cells at the Balikpapan prison.
The convicts -- who received jail sentences of between three and seven years for their roles in the 2002 bombing -- met their families under a tight guard.
The six were prosecuted and jailed in Bali but the central government later allowed them to be transferred to a prison nearer their families for humanitarian reasons. -- JP
