Fake money dealer keeps quiet
JAKARTA (JP): The City Police remain clueless in their investigation into last month's findings of US$7,000 in counterfeit bills and evidence of ecstasy pill manufacturing, a police officer said on Friday.
"The police tried to keep it quiet with the questioning, but whatever they are doing, it's not working. The suspect, identified as Julius Sendjaya, is not helping," the officer, who requested anonymity, said.
Quoting police report No. 503/K/VII/2000/SATGA OPS B, the officer said Sr. Insp. Suminggah of the narcotics crimes division received information from residents on July 25 that drugs were being manufactured on Jl. Agung Perkasa in Sunter district, North Jakarta.
"Suminggah and his officers raided the area, arrested Julius Sendjaya at his residence on Jl. Agung Perkasa and confiscated the ecstasy pill manufacturing equipment and 70 fake 100 US dollar bills," the officer said.
"Julius does not want to open his mouth, as to where he got those bills from, or if he manufactured them." (ylt)
