Factory worker killed

JAKARTA (JP): An 18-year-old worker at a West Jakarta oil
stove factory was killed yesterday after a goods platform fell on
him.

Eyewitnesses said the victim, Asep, was moving equipment with
other workers when the accident occurred. Asep died in hospital a
few hours after being struck on the back by the platform.

The platform fell after the cable suspending it snapped,
witnesses said, adding that they did not know why the cable had
snapped. (05)
