Factories given final warning
TANGERANG (JP): The local administration has issued a final demolition order to the owners of six factories and the owner of a house in Kedaung Baru village in the Batuceper subdistrict.
The demolition order, dated April 30 1996 states that the owners of the factories and the house in question have been given until May 6 to demolish their buildings.
An official of the city planning agency, H. Ruchiyat said the factories and the house were built without proper building permits.
"We have repeatedly warned the owners to pull down the buildings. But the owners have turned a blind eye to the warnings," Ruchiyat told The Jakarta Post yesterday.
He added that if the owners have not demolished the buildings by May 6, the administration will send a special team to pull down the buildings.(18/bas)
